The 3-day weekend is so needed. I can't wait till the day is over.
The last two weekends have been anything but relaxing!!
Last weekend Sammy was sick all weekend with hand foot and mouth disease. Bad bad stuff. Poor little guy had fevers for two days straight and the Mon Tues were the ulcers in his mouth. He wanted to eat and drink but it just hurt him and you could see it in his eyes. I stayed home with him Monday and Sam stayed with him Tuesday. It was exhausting.
The weekend before was Mother's Day. It really was a pretty good weekend with a few spoiled spots. Our neighbors had a party and Sam drank too much - once again. I had to literally drag him home around 1am - it wasn't because it was late - it was because he was TOASTED!!! I got him home and didn't think I would be able to get him up the stairs without hurting himself.
Long story short - he was so drunk he ended up pissing on the laundry and floor because obviously he couldn't even tell he was 10 feet away from the bathroom. Yeah - he was THAT drunk. Oddly enough when I came in 3am and saw him doing this, I was just worried about getting him back in bed and safe because right before I came in I had heard a loud bang. He fell out of bed, then stood up to piss. Good GOD!!
Seriously people - I wish to hell I could drink myself to that kind of oblivian without paying for it. Not that I have any desire to be found pissing on the floor, but to be that out of my mind some times just sounds so appealing.... I want a leave of absence from all these bad memories I've been carrying around lately.
Sunday was Mother's Day. He couldn't get himself out of bed till 11:00. He asked me what I wanted to do and I was fine with watching Alvin and the Chipmunks and then dinner at 6:30 at Bumper Bob's. I told him the ONE thing I didn't want was to be stressed. You know..rushing around or having to make decisions about where to go...or what to do.
Well sure as I asked for it - that's exactly what happened. We picked up the girls and the demands started coming - and Sam didn't shut them down. He actually thought we could do all the stuff they wanted too. UGH. There was no way and that would NOT have been relaxing.
On our way to one of the suggestions (Color-Me-Mine) he finally realized it was too much. Since it was now past noon we stopped at TGIFriday's for lunch. I really didn't want to eat out twice in one day - although it was good. By the time we got to dinner that evening I was still full. And I would have MUCH rather been full on their food than TGIFriday's.
We did go home to watch the movie, which was really cute. I want to buy it. Sam slept the whole time - so much for tegetherness.
Dinner was a nice time out - the baby was well behaved. Can't say as much for the girls, but they were tolerable. Unfortuantely it was meal #2 that Sarah wasted that day as well.
Sam (and kids) bought me a Teddy Bear dressed in a pink robe with a necklace and earrings on her. THen Sam bought me a white neglege' with matching heels and a gold necklace earring set (with diamond accents). It was all very nice and I was glad to see how much thought went into the gift.
I didn't complain to him about the whole "let's do this, let's do that" scene OR the eating out twice cause it would have only put a damper on the whole day. Plus I was very grateful for the dinner reservation and gifts so, like I said, only a couple of spoiled spots.
Also - I'm sure he was expecting me to be extremely pissed about his drunkeness the night before. I wasn't too happy, but I was far from pissed. I just rolled my eyes. Possibly because I'm getting use to his constant abuse of alcohol.
I've pointed out that I think a lot of it has to do with him drinking like he's still 210lbs. He's not. He's down to 160lbs.
I'm still able to drink a glass or two of wine or a few beers, but he isn't able to drink half a bottle of liquor and 3-4 beers without being completely snockered!!
He drinks almost every night too. I really do not think I could do that without paying for it physically.
He's also chewing more and more. I quite smoking a few weeks back (had only once since). I wish HE would quit his chewing but he makes no efforts to do so. Yet another frustration I feel defeated against.
This weekend we have Jose' coming to do some cabling, tonight. Tomorrow is a picnic at JonE's and Monday is at Jim's. All in all I'm planning on relaxing and getting caught up on the much needed sleep I've missed this week.
Let's hope.
