Last week Sam's grandma, Pearl Bell, passed away. She turned 86 years old this past September. Pappy turned 86 in June.
The services were held this past Saturday, the day after my birthday. It was a cold day, but the fall colors have began to take over the trees so it was a beautiful view driving to and from Perry County for the services. Oddly enough the reception afterwards was held outside. I suppose because the church she used to attend in Newport (Pine Grove) doesn't have a reception hall, but rather a picnic pavillion.
So most of Saturday was consumed with the funeral and services.
Friday, being my birthday it was a nice distraction from all the sadness of the week and grandmas passing. Sam gave me a jewelry armoire, crockpot with TONS of settings, and MP3 Cover for my player and medal cuffs - no comment, hehe.
The whole family went to dinner at Gilligans - whichw as very nice. The girls had a good time as well. They sent me a beautiful colorful bouquet of flowers at work that I took home.
Yesterday we spend the day cleaning, grocery shopping and cooking dinner. It was nice, but it just seem like the weekend came and went so fast.
At least my birthday was much nicer than last year. I'm not nearly as depressed.
I do think its time for me to consider looking for a new job. This place irritates me more and more.
